What RateMyVA is
An independent, free site where Veterans and caregivers rate VA locations and find help. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or funded by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Reviews and tips are the opinions of the people who write them.
Not medical, legal or benefits advice
Our guides, tools and action kits are general information, checked against official sources, but rules change and only the VA decides your eligibility and benefits. For decisions about your health, talk to your care team. For claims and appeals, a free accredited representative can help. In an emergency, call 911. In crisis, call 988 and press 1.
Your account
- You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email. Keep access to that email secure.
- One review per person per location. Write about your own visit, or a visit you handled as a caregiver.
- You must be 13 or older.
- You can delete your account and all your data at any time; see the privacy policy.
What you post
You keep ownership of your reviews and tips. By posting, you let us display, combine into scores and reports, and moderate them on RateMyVA, until you delete them. Please:
- Be honest and describe your own experience.
- Don’t include names of staff, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, or anyone else’s medical details.
- No threats, harassment, hate, spam, ads, or links.
- Don’t post reviews you were paid or pressured to write, or reviews of places you haven’t visited.
Moderators may hold, remove or decline content that breaks these rules, as described on How ratings work. We can suspend accounts that keep breaking them.
VA staff
Verified VA staff may reply publicly to reviews of their own location and mark reported problems as fixed. They can’t edit, hide or reorder reviews or scores. Replies follow the same rules as reviews.
Sponsors
RateMyVA shows a few vetted, clearly labelled sponsor messages. Sponsors have no influence over reviews, scores, rankings or moderation, and a sponsor message is not an endorsement by us or the VA. Links take you to the sponsor’s own site, where its terms apply. Our sponsor rules are on How ratings work.
Using the site fairly
Don’t try to break, overload, scrape at scale, or get around the site’s security or limits, and don’t impersonate anyone. Facility information comes from the VA and may contain errors; check important details with the facility.
No warranty, limited liability
RateMyVA is provided “as is.” We work to keep it accurate and available but can’t promise it will always be either. To the extent the law allows, WeeBie Media LLC is not liable for losses from using the site or relying on its content.
Changes
If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top and email account holders about meaningful changes before they take effect. Continuing to use RateMyVA after that means you accept the new terms.
